It's been over 2 years since we released Sacred. I'd like to thank everyone who purchased Sacred for their support. When we first released it, many magicians thought their kids were too young, but now the timing may be just right. I'm still performing this with my kid and she's 9.
Just a note if you own this, I have created a 1-second cleanup method that allows you to continue wearing your jacket. This NOT in the instructions. And I'd like to share that with owners of the effect. If you own Sacred, please PM me and I will PM back with this new method. To ensure secrecy please type in your PM the first word that appears on page 7 of the instructions. http://www.masterofillusions.ca/sacred.html Here are some additional links on the Café that can give you more information: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......m=109&23 http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......&start=0

How are the angles on this?
I REALLY dig the idea of having this on b-day parties. |

Hey Fabio. Thanks for the question.
The angles are typical stage angles. That is to say around 10 o'clock - 2 o'clock or just a bit wider. I've performed this mostly on stages both big and small, although I've also performed this in the middle of of Grand Illusions Magic Shop near Sacramento, California where I entered through a door from the back room. So you will want an area where you can set-up/load (like a wing) where you can make an entrance from either one of the sides or from the rear. Hope that helps.

Now, a very close friend of mine, who is one of those picky-picky guys,
was curious about Sacred. I told him it was a sure bet. He told me it was too cheap to be any good. I told him he was a jerk not to at least see it. He did. He loved it. He was astounded at the design and quality. He wished the price would triple so he’d be the only guy in the area. He’s been impatiently waiting for his son to get just old enough to use. His son is a cute and smart kid, love’s his dad’s magic, and will be old enough very soon, when the Illusion will be in his every show. So that’s my personal Sacred story. You do the math. I think this is a great illusion and how often do you get a fabricated piece of illusion equipment for under $100... and I'm not talking of illusions made of cardboard.
I personally like the appearance on chair, stool, step ladder or platform because it becomes a focal point and misdirects from the method even further. For more production value, I would even have assistants "build" the platform in front of the audience with a board, steps ladders and floodlight to illuminate the underside of the platform. Or possibly build the platform out of a chair suspension rig but board on the seats of the chairs first. Produce the kid then go onto to a chair suspension. Even if you don't have a kid, I think the possibilities of using the illusion for any family-oriented program, community event, charity show for kids are endless. Just work with the organization and have the cutest kid appear. If you can make a puppy appear too, that's an epic win. Continued success with a great illusion!

I plan to use this as soon as my son is ready. Problem is he is getting heavier now at 26 kilos and he is only 3 years old. This is a very well thought of prop.

Hey Lou. At 26 Kilos (57 pounds), that's a great size for this illusion. The design of the prop allows for weight distribution so this shouldn't be a problem. It's safe to say that the lesser the weight of the child (or assistant) being produced, the more flexibility and freedom you have in movement. However, I found that I could walk naturally with my 11 year old at nearly 100 lbs (45 Kilos). There are some tips in the instructions that cover freedom of movement for a heavier load. Everyone is different, so your own requirements and weight restrictions will differ from each individual. I PMed you with some thoughts as well.
At 3 years old, he's just about ready to take the little direction needed to make this work, depending on his maturity. You may want to pull it out and see if he's willing to do what it takes to be in Dad's show! And thanks for the compliment. It took over 2 years of research and development to get this right. And then Peter Loughran was a great driving force in ensuring the illusion components were the best they could be. It's great that the huge effort is appreciated. Thank you.
