Vampire Magic (Max Andrews, London) put out a Jigsaw trick in the 1950's and it still works well today if you can find one. I've seen a couple at auctions over the last two years.
Basically you show a picture which you put into the jigsaw machine and turn the handle at the side which makes a loud clickety-clack as the pieces get scrunched up and fall out through a hole at the front. You can even remove the picture half way showing only half of it remains to be scrunched. Continue until all the picture gets turned into pieces. These pieces are gathered and one can be "dropped" or chosen. The remainder of the pieces vanish for the picture to be found reassembled in a frame, with a space for the missing piece. |

A member reminded me that I'd promised a routine for this, so anyone who bought in on the magic share is welcome to PM me for the routine.

I'll also try to get a vid online of my performance, so that everything becomes clearer. It really does play well, and I use mine a lot. Still looking at having a better CB made. It will be along the lines of the Creative Magic version, but with significant differences, since the force pieces are quite large and heavy. Nevertheless, it plays well with a regular CB.
Unfortunately, the manufacturers refused to give me, or permit me to produce, a PDF to have a print made to stick to the front of the box....but I plan to do this anyway. I don't think there's a problem with making one, but to distribute it is a no-no. Doug |

I'm still using my Jigsaw routine and tried making a pandora style bag, but it was limited in the amount of pieces I could hold. So normally I just use a flat change bag.

I can't believe I've been so dumb - I checked the two sizes of Pandora Bag from Creative Magic, and both were too small. What I hadn't realised is there are three sizes, and the "Super Pandora Bag" is perfect for this.
I've just taken mine to have the other side of velcro attached (if you have a Pandora bag, you'll know what I mean). This is essential, as otherwise the pieces won't stay in place reliably. I can definitely fit at least 8 pieces, which is enough, I tried it. Once the original pieces of the jigsaw are in the bag, give it a shake, allowing the secret stuff to happen. Now, like a regular CB, the f***e pieces will sit above the other pieces. There's also a nice touch, as you can put your hand into the bag, showing it empty, with the bag upside-down, at the start. If you want a Super Pandora bag, there should be quite a few available, as everyone who bought a "portion" of Creative Magic will have at least 2 of them. |

Dave at Made To Measure Magic has make a fantastic wooden box for this effect, and of course, it's "made to measure!"
Really nice and simple, my cardboard boxes wore out pretty quick, this should last a lifetime. We had lengthy exchanges about the best way to achieve the desired result, and finally came up with this. The handling is very specific, and may not be ideal for everyone. But, it's incredibly simple to use, and we've come up with a design that is as compact and deceptive as possible. Many, many thanks to Dave for this - in all honesty, I was amazed and delighted at his dedication and input, to ensure the product was exactly what I wanted. If anyone with the routine would like one, they can purchase one for £75. If you also have a Super Pandora Bag, you have everything you need to notch this right up, into a really baffling effect, which plays well for all ages 3-10 years. Even adults will most likely wonder how it's done. I don't know why, but the site isn't allowing me to put the pictures into this post, even though I know I did it right!
