I found this little ditty on an interesting, old transformation card from Australia:
“The cards in this pack, I hold to view Like the weeks of our year are – fifty-two; Then count the dots, and so arrive At the days of the year – three-sixty-five. The suits are four and he who seeks Throughout a month can find four weeks. While tricks are thirteen, making clear The thirteen months of our lunar year. That’s why churchwardens keep a pack In the vestry – as an Almanac. Greetings for 1916”

This kind of verse has been turned into a story song as well for WW I, WW II, Korea, Vietnam and Middle East Conflicts.
