It is very frustrating on both sides when a package gets lost or held up in shipping.
As the buyer, you have sent your money and the seller has received it. Your part in the transaction is complete. You are waiting for the seller to complete his side of the transaction, get the product to you. And when it is held up and you have to wait months for it to be declared lost before the seller replaces it. It is frustrating. As the seller, the product has not been received, and you have not fulfilled your part of the deal. It is frustrating because you have done what you can, but the third party you chose to deliver the product has failed, and unless you wait for their acknowledgement, you won't collect insurance on the lost product and you would be out your investment. The package might be found and you would have to depend on the integrity of the customer to return it, if you refunded or sent a replacement. The whole thing boils down to a trust and waiting game. Just an update here -- and I completely believe everyone who has posted has had a great experience and is enjoying some quality craftsmanship -- but I have yet to receive the goods I paid for in August, 2011.
I spoke to Chris, Simon's assistant, for the last time on Feb. 9. He said "Thanks Victor. Ill get this sorted for you." Still haven't heard back, although I emailed yesterday asking simply if anything had been shipped. I don't want a refund, I want what I paid for and I'm utterly clueless as to why this has taken so long. All that being said, I know Simon has had some hardships so I'm trying to be understanding here. But seeing as how several other people have received their items, and I have yet to find out if mine is even built yet... It's just making me sad and angry.

Followed up again and Simon said he'll have one out in a few days. As I said, he's been dealing with some stuff lately and I understand the blip -- it's just that this was one in a series! Apparently the problem was that they thought I'd been refunded. Which I can understand, since they've been scammed before (between sending and paying you can basically get a refund from PayPal and grift 'em).
So I'll report when I get the lamp. I want to make sure people will know Simon and UYD will make it right, even if it takes 6 months!

I did ask, if he miss my order, its ok, just let me know how long you take to finish. if its the shipping problem, I am sure he can follow by tracking number. but every reply by him is follow but without any useful information for me? I know Simon did great C.S. as I said I did order 20dollar item with 2weeks shipping. but this time kit set, I don't know what should I do @@ Best, W.D.
