Does anybody have this and do you like it? Can't find a review anywhere for it except at My Lovely Assistant.
Thanks, RNK

I have Baffling B.S. I never performed it other than a demonstration at my local magic shop. I don't know what to say. It's a nice routine with potential for fun. If you can deliver a joke without looking like a goober who learned his jokes from the instructions then you'll like it and so will your audience. If you add your own bumper stickers you can easily personalize the performance for most any group.
By the time I purchased it I already owned enough stuff for ten different shows so I haven't added Baffling B.S. to any real-world performances. About 60 magicians at our Second Saturday Sale liked it when I demonstrated it but who performs for magicians? Under Mentalism Unlimited, Larry Becker and Lee Earle produced so many outstanding marketed effects. If I see something of theirs I suspect I might like I snatch it up while I can. In my opinion it's worth the risk. What is it, $30? I've paid more and gotten less.

Thanks for the response Mike. Though, the price I paid is $64.95. I have not seen it at a cheaper price. Were you selling it for $30?

We found a closeout special, as I recall, and were able to sell the effect for $30. Haven't found any to sell that cheaply since then.

This one has a lot of potential.
I got it simply because of the props. NOT CARDS! I like to have the bumoer sticker chosen that deal with the wife and the dog and the kicker is wife and dog missing, reward for dog! |

You ask four audience members to write answers to four questions written on a single card handed to them. The questions on each card are identical. The cards are mixed. You can seemingly tell those audience members detailed things about their answers which they haven't written down before returning each card to its owner. The final card is left face down in someone else's hands yet you still reveal the thoughts of the last person standing. With each participant you're feeding back more information about their written answers than you should be able to know. For example, the whole audience knows the person has written the year she got her first kiss yet you can also reveal the city and state where it happened. Like you I found little written about this on the Café or anywhere. Jheff reviewed it for his marketplaceofthemind.com website when it was released. I think he called it a good "entry level Q&A" though he also said if you already do a Q&A you probably won't need or want this. My current Q&A is a traditional one. I personally think Shhh! would work well for me when performing for smaller groups of 25-100. Hardly anything to carry except four plastic cards and a few wet-erase pens. I might choose to use index cards I print or handwrite instead of the slick plastic cards it comes with. Not surprisingly, what you're really buying is the clever routine from the minds of Becker and Earle.
