Not sure if this is too much exposure so please move if so.
I remember a Michael Ammar trick (i think bill in walnut) where he removed part of a serial number from a note. I have been trying this with varying levels of success and wondered if anyone had a good method. (adding a chemical or something like that). At the minute it is taking me around 20 minutes each night to prepare and would LOVE to be able to reduce this time somehow. |

I have had good success in the past using a new (read: sharp) X-acto blade (the round blade is better and their # designation escapes me) to gently scrape the ink off the paper, then follow that up with a good artists eraser. I could be wrong but I seem to remember that taking no more that 5-7 minutes.
When using the X-acto, move the blade in the same direction with the same motion every time. In other words, if you scrape from left to right, do it that way every time. Just do not scrape back and forth, and go lightly - it does not take much pressure. Let me know if you try this and how it works out for you. |

Thanks, I will give that a try. I have been using a straight blade. Never thought of using an eraser at all!
