Puck & Scott, I have a friend in NJ who owns a machine shop, not an average machine shop, he designs and build parts for the military and several aircraft companies, if you would like to talk direct with him, I am willing to bet he can make your nozzle and other part with exacting tolerances and for a fraction of the price, I have shared some thing with him in the past and know the expertise he can provide,
Or perhaps you could sell a sort of retro fit package for those who have a Misers Dream pail, and include instruction for the bubble bottle, or its actual name as it is a marketed effect and has been for quite a while, Like Mike said in an earlier post, the bottom line is, we all want it, but it is hard for us ( I know I do not speak for all ) to justify such a high cost, the entire thread has focused on just that, not the fact that the audience really enjoys the effect, and the subtleties you have added to take a nice effect and bring it to another level, something I laughed at , when the gentleman in the audience had to take another shot at it, he laughed too. I wanted to let everyone know that we were finally able to have molds made for our patented micro leakproof bubble machine. With these new molds our master model maker can now offer them to us at a dramatically lower price. When he made them each by hand it was quite labor intensive and thus the high price tag. On top of that the new machines made with the molds are now sealed making cleaning and maintenance even easier then before.
Now that we are paying less we would like to pass this on to our customers. "Wishes" is now $850 and shipping in the US is free! This is quite a bit lower from the original $1,500 price. If you've ever wanted to add a wonderful closer that has comedy, audience participation, emotion, and visual magic now is the time. We only have 6 of these in stock and are debating about continuing to sell this after they're gone. Scott and myself still perform this in all of our shows and are thinking about limiting it's distribution. Here is a link to the full performance shot live at The Magic Castle last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELac0Zr6ZwQ&feature=g-all-u Visit http://www.puckmagic.com for more info. Puck |

I'm more concern about the sound of the bubble hitting the can.
Do you need a body hook-up for the sound or is the sound coming from the can and is the sound loud enough for screaming kids parties. Tricky Ricky |

I would like to see it done for children. I think they will not really be following the heart feld message and maybe just assume something is in the can they will not care or realize you have the can inverted. They never owned a bubble machine and it might not dawn on them that that should not be possible. I like the idea of ending in bubbles vs paper but think the effect is not as strong. The adults can forgive because they like the story but if asked would say there is something in in the can.
Too bad it can be shown empty first like most misers dreams. |

Speaking from experience, when kids see the bubbles at the end it's game over! ...They could care less if you open with "observe children, here I have an empty can...."
Can makes the sound TrickyRicky (sorry for the late response...must have missed the post...) |

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.

Honestly, I had no idea this was originally 1600. I saw it for sale at 850 and was like NO WAY!
That being said, if I were someone who actually owned one, I'm sure I'd LOVE the high price cause it keeps other people from actually performing it. That is something great in our community, I think. We have WAY too many effects in magic to be copying everyone else's stage shows. Seriously...I could describe 90% of stage shows with effects like Losander's table, misers dream, linking rings, snowstorm, etc... There's just so many more things we can be doing. But I've done each of these things in the past as well. Just not all at the same time. Haha Still thinking about this as I have the chance to grab one at 650 right now. STILL thinking it's more than I want to pay. I'd probably be down for it around 400 or less. But geez...

Hi,
I too would like this however the price does seem high. Do any readers out there now own one and have some real world experiences they could share? If I did take the plunge, it would be for a summer season in a theme park doing 3 or 4 shows a day. How would it hold out? Does look like a great closer but wondering about it’s durability. Cheers Everyone. |
