We are sometimes quick to complain about goods that don't live up to the hype or slow deliveries, bad customer service etc.
So I just thought I'd give some well deserved praise, where it's due. In January I bought Primal Prediction from Ken Dyne. Yesterday I try to find it on my computer. Dissapeared of the face of the earth. This morning at 10:52 I e mailed Ken to see if I could get another copy. at 10:57 I had another copy in my inbox. Service like that is all too rare these days (though this business of ours does do a lot better than the rest of the retail sector IMHO) And the effect is killer as well. So...Thanks Ken, you're a star. regards steve |

I've met Kennedy in person and have chatted with him online as well as doing business. I've found him to be a very generous guy in business and with his knowledge and his time.

I mentioned in another post recently my experience with Ken. He was extremly attentive and honest. That is all anyone can ask for. Could not agree more with the original post.

Allow me to add that I had a similar experience when I managed to delete "Chairman of the Board". One email later and it was back in my inbox.

Ken is one of the good guys and he believes in dealing fairly and honestly with people. There's another thread where people are arguing about the price he puts on his published work (clue: in a free market economy an item is 'worth' whatever someone is willing to pay for it). Leaving that non-discussion aside, he's a decent guy who would rather gargle old bathwater than treat anyone unfairly or let anyone down.

Alex/BMW Guy: I've heard that rumour as well. I don't think it really matters what I do at my 'lecture' because I'm on the same day as Johnny Ace Palmer and Mark Setteducatti, so I reckon my room will be pretty empty. It'll just be me, some tumbleweed and a bored tech guy telling me he used to work with Spielberg. Alas, my fantastic new thoughts on the 21 Card Trick will go unheeded and unloved. Conventions can be so cruel.

(clue: in a free market economy an item is 'worth' whatever someone is willing to pay for it). Actually Ian, that assumes perfect knowledge which doesn't exist in any market and certainly doesn't exist in the magic and mentalism community. I do commend people offering good customer service. And any self respecting marketing hustler would be doing so at a bare minimum. I'm still quite curious about Whisper. Check it out.

Well go and look at an economics text book. Perfect knowledge is an assumption for Ian's statement to be true - although theories of "complexity economics" (which are growing in traction) would question even that!

Also, just because someone offers "good customer service" does not make them a "self respecting marketing hustler". You are quite right - but if I'd wanted to say this I would have said it. I didn't. But I'm sure even Kennedy would agree he is a "marketing hustler" - you've only got to look at his sites to see that the man has a mediocum of marketing swagger.
