Recognizing that this is a rather old thread....if anyone is interested in taking this discussion "downstairs," I'd be happy to share a couple of modifications that eliminate all of the stated issues/concerns, and add a potential kicker ending.

No, but this has NEVER been an issue.

OK so I've ordered the trick.

Wouldn't mind some advice on what to do if a spectator asks to inspect the card. Any thoughts?

Slap them in the side of the head with the wallet and say, you are so silly. Then put the wallet away.

Having just ordered this, I'd certainly be interested in hearing about Eric's modifications.

Appreciate all the interest.
I've had several PMs and emails asking about my presentation, which I have now written out am happy to make available to anyone who would like it. It does not explain the routine - only my modifications.
For obvious reasons, I won't post it here, so please PM or email me.

One cautionary note - it's not going to be for everyone as there is one element that many won't like.
But for me, it takes this to a whole new level!

Cheers,

e

I've Pm'ed you Eric, looking forward to hearing your ideas.

I have the original and I too would like to know if Marks issues have been solved as Nathan asks above.

I don´t have "on the mark", but I would be interested if it´s an improvement over the KK concept, especially "heirloom redux" which I really like!

I really like the ideas behind your thinking Eric, well thought out and detailed. I have been performing this too long now to change my routine but if I was coming at it new I would take on board all you have said. Thank you for your tips, they are relevant to quite a few other things as well.

Having read Eric's thoughts on this I'm impressed. Everything here makes it more difficult to deconstruct the effect and hence, makes it that bit more plausible for the spectator-be they layman or magician.

The kicker makes it real magic-which is after all, what we're striving for.
