I am curious to see if anyone on this forum owns and uses the Ickle Pickle Chop "cup" Chalice, and what they think of it over all, such as the quality, how well it works, the balance of the chalice, etc. It may be Ickle Pickle, but it still looks cool!
Thanks in advance for reviews/opinions. |

My wish in a chop cup chalice/goblet is that John Mendoza would let RNT2 or other good cup maker duplicate his. John has the best design, very deceptive for the final loads. But I do agree that the Ickle Pickle one looks nice.

I think the best chop chalice available is the one from Tim Star.

The Ickle Pickle Chop Chalice is not bad, as chop chalices go. I really prefer the Tim Star chalices, as others have mentioned; however, they are somewhat difficult to get. It all depends on what Tim is doing at the time.
I saw one on eBay that was advertised as being 4' tall and using 1' balls. The fellow who posted the ad didn't know that " means inch and ' means foot.

I just looked at the Tim Star one and still think the one John Mendoza uses looks better/more deceptive. The Star one is certainly a lot nicer than what Dr. Bob sells. My guess is John will probably not release his design.

I have a Tim Star chalice that I love, but I am looking for a review on the Ickle Pickle chalice, or at least some feedback.
Thanks for the posts so far. |

The IP chalice is about the same size as the larger Tim Star chalice. It works just fine. I don't know what else to say about it.

I have some Ickle Pickle products that have served me well over the years and continue to do so to this very day. One of the best things about some of the effects of theirs that I have and use: their low cost; cheap and easy to replace if need be! |

Jake is right. Steve Bender puts out decent products.

I imagine the chop chalice is quite nice, also. |

IP used to do copper, brass and aluminum cups. Unfortunately, due to rising costs of copper and brass they now limit their cup line to just aluminum with a satin finish.

I have a lovely little set of brass Ickle Pickle cups. They've put out some great stuff over the years.

I've known Steve Bender since I was a little kid in St. Louis......bought my first magic table from him wayyyyyyyyyy back when....Steve's a nice guy and a character....
For a worker's chop cup, his Ickle Pickle Widemouth is tough to beat for the money! |

My first set of IP mini combo set is still in my cabinet. Back then they used to polish their cups.
The cups are about 20 years old and still look great, even after using them. IP used to retail through Sterling Magic, then suddenly stopped. I was lucky enough to get a widemouth chop cup in copper before he broke ties with Sterling.
