Call it Fried Dough if you're boring and just don't give a ***,

or call it a Funnel Cake if it's sweet and put in the oil in loops of batter and topped with sugar or gooey goodness,

or call it an Elephant Ear if you stretch the dough like a pizza (or in Canada it's a Beaver Tail, and out west it's Indian Fry Bread)

and if you're in an unventilated trailer over 350-degree oil making them all day, call you sweaty and decidedly unready to take attitude from a jerky customer.
