Do any of you guys know where to find a cool ruffle shirt. I presently use a white one but am thinking of changing to a loud color. Most places have vintage pastel colors. do they need to be custom made? anyone else where ruffles with colors?

Ask Jerry Seinfeld...I'm sure he'll be happy to give you his "puffy shirt." (Seinfeld fans know what I'm talking about).

Most likely you'll have to get the shirt custom made. You'll need to get a pattern and check out some fabric shops to get the right material you want and the right color. It really isn't any more expensive than buying a nice one and you'll get exactly what you want with a custom shirt.

Does anyone produce doves from a waistcoat? If so, what type of dove harness can I use?

Dove harnesses for waistcoat production are not unlike other dove harnesses. My favorite is the one made by Pete Peterson and sold through MAK. Both the pockets and the harnesses are right size, can even be pinned in, and the harnesses come in most silk colors (mine came with matching 24" silks).
For an invisible harness, contact Dan Sperry (I think at: ExtremeDoveMagic.com). His are about $20 but are well made. Pockets for waistcoats should match the linings of the coat and be larger than most. Waistcoats tend to gap and pull worse than larger coats when loads are moved. Larger pockets help eliminate some of this. If you also wear a vest under it, experiment with putting the pocket on the vest rather than the coat. There will be less movement for the audience to see and more control for you. Good Luck! Bob Sanders Magic By Sander The Amazed Wiz |

I believe Danish magician and former dealer Kurt Flemming has/had 3 or 4 doves in his waistcoat.

These things are popping up on eBay again! The last new ones I bought were in the very early 80s. The good news was that they were soft and did not have to go to the cleaners.
