I have recently been facinated in enjoying the magic of Fantasio. Has there ever been instructions on constructing the final four appearing candles from his candelabra? It looks like a spring and pull system.

Buy his book at half price from Fantasio himself, here:
http://www.fantasio.com/home.html Look under other items. In the book he discribes a method for a vansishing candle in candle holder, which is like the reverse of the method used in his candleabra finale. The main problem is being that trick was invented over 40 years ago, the small trophy cups are not as easily available as they were back then. Then finding a candleabra that you could convert is also no easy taak. Going the through the book you can assemble many of his methods and come with a solution to the build it yourself kind of candleabra. Fantasio has never discussed this finale item or revealed it exact working to my knowledge. He did publish and sell a verison of an appearing lite candle that uses the same technology in the candleabra. These he no longer make, and can only be found at magic dealers that still have stock. For some reason he exclusive distribution rights to only one dealer years ago, I cannot remember who that dealer was any longer or if they are even still in business. I have used a Fantasio Candle in my act for 50 years and it is real magic to the audience. |

Having made flowers for this effect, I do know the workings. As I said, it is his.
Maybe if you contacted him, he would be willing to sell you the plans but otherwise it is no touch. Richard

Hello
Does anyone know what happened to Fantasio’s original props ? Are they in a museum ? Did he publish or transfered plans for the original effects in his act such as the small multiplying candles and his candelabra finale ? Thanks for your answers ! |
