Hey folks... just wondering how you go about costuming for your Broom suspensions/pole suspensions... I've been hunting for the "RIGHT" ladies top for a long time and I've not been able to find the RIGHT top. Bought about three tops off the shelves, the types with 'wings' but there's always something wrong about these tops... how do you guys deal with this?

Get a good tailor / seamstress.
ALL of my colothing related problems have been solved ever since I found some most excellent tailors. |

Stan Allen and Bill Smith put out their broom suspension and had a costumer design a lot of options in the book they gave out with the props. They were very clever but most all just added elements on the gaff side and it tended to look guilty to me. I had an idea of doing a gown with just enough to hide the gaff on one side then do more on the other side to make the guilty side look "light" by comparison. The "safe" option is the short "kimono" style robe that has the sleeve space for the details.
