Just to follow up on Armstrong's "Gin Pick"... Jon demo'd this at the Portland Magic Jam this past weekend and it was absolutely natural and undetectable.

By the way, in Magician Nightly is described a tabled double that Eddie Fechter did years before any of these. The later Fechter: The Magic of Eddie Fechter book included all the content of Magician Nightly as well as other stuff, or so I'm told; I just have the first book.

Regarding tabling doubles, I have a download available from GrupoKaps(Dani Daortiz).
In this 60 min video, I explain the updated versions of my best methods for tabling doubles and 4 great routines using doubles. Nicelyu produced, It was shot both in Spanish and English (no dubbing), so you can watch in either language for real. Thanks to an arrangement with Dani, if you order it from me (rafaelbenatar@me.com), I can offer it at the reduced price of $22. See the trailer here: https://gkaps.com/store/p/rutinas-y-tecnicas-113.html |

Justin Miller talks about this on his second At The Table Lecture, R Paul Wilson also talks about it on his Double Lift Workshop. However, in both cases the teach how to do it but overall, it is not an extensive overview on the topic. Now if we consider prices, the lecture of Justin is cheaper than the rest that have mentioned so I'd go for that and he also teaches cool stuff. If you want to go deeper on this subject, The Father of Spanish Card Magic, Arturo De Ascanio is the best option and he had a booklet on the handling of this sleight..... at least in Spanish.
Hope that helps! |
