True, Futureal. Those of us who do many shows a month are more prone to panic attacks because we are doing this on a full time basis.
Granted, There are full time pros that also said this has never happened to them (at least one that I know of) but it seems to me that most people here have had something similar happen to them. I'm glad I'm not alone. Howie: Again, implied in the question of "did this happen to you" on a discussion forum is the idea that discussion is warranted. If your answer is "nope" then at least you owe a paragraph or even a sentence explaining why you feel it has never happened to you. Just "nope" is counter productive on an interactive forum such as this. |

Magic shows are not the only thing I do; I do many types of projects during the month that requires a booking, I don’t forget because I contact the client and I send confirmation emails. |

This happened to me once. I received the “Where are you?” call. She wasn’t very nice, she very upset at me for not being there and was demanding a refund or some sort of compensation for the inconvenience.
The whole time I’m looking at my schedule to try and figure out what happened. After much hoop jumping I realized that she was talking to the wrong magician. It took me a few minutes to get that point across to her. As far as she was concerned it was me. She finally realized her error and was going to call the other guy. I’m sure by the time she got a hold of the other guy her steam was already vented. I got the full hit of her wrath for no reason. It was a lesson learned to keep good records of calls received, not just booked but received. It will save you plenty of headaches.
