I'm going to tell you people a secret. I shop at the Salvation Army...and I LOVE IT!
Let me tell you why. It happened a while ago when I was getting some coins at my local dealer/antique shop. While I was there I started looking around for a cool goblet to use for Curtis Kam's Goblet (Palms of Steel 2: Fists of Fury.) I asked the guy working there if he had anything like a goblet or chalice and he told me to go look in the Salvation Army down the road. I never ever thought of that, so I checked it out. Not only did I find a very cool silver plated goblet for a buck, I found they had loads of cheep stuff that could be used as is or gaffed for magic props. Trunks, dressers, tables, serving trays, silverware...and they're all dirt cheap, so you don't have to worry about cutting them up, bending or painting them... Go check them out and let your imagination run wild. |
