Greetings,
I just wanted to say thanks to those that helped to make my final lecture at MINDvention more than memorable. As always, Danny and Robert put on a great event, and the crowd was fantastic. I am extremely grateful for all of the kind words and good wishes for the future. I will certainly miss sharing my thoughts and creations with enthusiastic groups of mentalists and magicians. And if things change, and my strength returns, maybe I will too, someday. Keep the change, Rick |

See this as nothing more than a change in the way you do things and communicate, not an end to anything.
You have a creative mind, so use it! I hope after some rest, that your strength and general health does improve to the point where you are able to do what you want, when you want to, but until then, embrace this new chapter and work with what you have. All the very best for your long and creative contributions to mentalism in the future. And thanks for the work so far.

It was great Rick and I wish you the very best in health and happiness. Your lecture was excellent as usual as were those in the past. Mindvention will not seem the same without having you there. All my best.

I am very happy I was able to see you lecture. I found your thoughts challenging and your techniques delightful.
I can't help but feel the whole field of mentalism is a little poorer today because there's a Rick Maue sized hole in it. But I understand you need to do what you need to do. So take with you my sincere prayers and hopes for a full recovery...and peace and success in whatever avenue you choose to walk down from here. All my very best, Rick. Be well. David

Rick,
Know that you are beloved by many. And as you do what you need to do, know that many of us wish that you will gift us with your presence again someday soon. Talking with you at Mindvention was one of the highlights this year for me. Your lecture gave me and everyone something to think about; especially regarding "Severe Method Bias" and the importance of the use of theater. Thank you for sharing and performing your 8 minute "someone will get hurt or die" opening. You rock! And, finally, let me add that you are a prince among men for taking time to discuss your creations with so many of us one-on-one, in particular providing more information on your brilliant routine, "Fate". Here's wishing you well in all things. May fickle fate be good to you in the many years ahead. -Gregg |

It seems to me that you have always remained constant to your highest ideals. That's a good way to live a life, and will serve you well on the rest of your journey. We'll miss your presence, your lectures, your thinking and writing....then again, don't stop doing what you don't have to.
Thanks for the change. Tom

I have read many of your books and have many of your marketed effects. Some of them I perform, some I don't. What has been more important, in my case, is that your ways of presentation has positively impacted the way in which I perform. Thanks and hoping both for your heaalth and your return.

I truly enjoyed your lecture at MINDvention. I hope you'll have the remaining strength to finish the lecture notes you were unable to complete. I'd love to get a copy.
Best wishes, Ted

The best and blessings! As others have said, your tremendous creativity can't be easily halted--it'll find a way to express itself. And when it does, there will be a large contingent of us celebrating! |

It was a great pleasure to partake in the Thoughts seminar back in July. It is an experience that I will always remember and your work has had a definite impact in the way I look at constructing shows. Thank you for everything you have contributed to the art. Wishing you and your family all the best for the future David J |

Rick, you're exceptional. I'm glad I was able to attend your last lecture to see that for myself. Well done, Rick. I hope to see you again around the bend, somewhere on the road ahead.

Rick,
I feel like I was late to the party as this was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting you! I am looking forward to reading your material and learning from it! I understand your situation but I hope we can make happen what I discussed with you next year in Colorado! You newest fan, Jamie Salinas

And yes Ted, the lecture notes are already written and edited, and I do plan to complete the layout in early November and make the notes available. I'm just not sure if we will do a very limited run, or at this point, if it's best to simply release the project as an ebook. But we'll decide soon. Keep the change, Rick |
