There will be a record number of interesting participants at the 20th Anniversary, Inner Circle of Bizarre Magic Gathering, but sadly many of my favorite Mages will be among the missing during our festivities.
I was so hoping to catch up with Charles, Robert, Adrian, to name a few. Ah well, it will be to great to catch up with other good friends and colleagues. Who is on the rosters and will be there to celebrate? Bro. Walt |

Just returned to Virginia from ICBM. What a week!
I arrived Wednesday with Ed Fowler, J. B. Carlyle, and my partner Carolyn. We had intended on Caroline and Ed presenting "The Spirit Post", with Caroline in the cabinet, but Caroline had an allergic reaction to a new make up that her face in hives. We recruited another member of the Gathering from North Carolina, that graciously agreed to step in and learn the routine for Friday evenings presentation. A true trooper, Amanda learned the routine in just one day, and performed it well for the scant time she had to rehearse. Friday Night was dedicated in memorium to Bob Fenton, and Robin DeWitt (Kardor). They will be missed. I had a conversation with Mark DeSouza, after watching his Floating Table routine, that has me reworking my Seance performance to alter my spirit guide's appearance. If I had gone and had ONLY that one conversation with Mark and gone back home without attending anything else, I would count the trip and time a rousing success. Craig Dickson's lecture was a gold mine of information. Too bad his Tesla discussion was so "short"..... Craig... Fantastic!!! Thanks for the Crystal Ball tip. And yes... Dr. Mambo and Jumbo Ju-Ju did make a showing... word to the wise... don't order the pie if you are with them. Harley.. great meeting you. I hope your atonement is complete, and you have made your peace with the squirrels. "Evil Dan and Colleen the Sideshow Queen" presented a "Nail under Cup routine"... Dan.... I hope Collen made her point... listen to the lady and stay out of trouble. For those that did not make it to the Gathering.... you missed a great weekend. Walt kicked off things Thursday night with his presentation of Brother Shadow's "Ritual of the Rock" (HSWT). Walt...It was great meeting you. Hope you put "Amazing Grace" to good use. I spent the days bouncing back and forth between the presentations/lectures and working Ed's Dealer table, so I missed some great presentations, including the entire close up show, but time at the table talking with people, making new friends, etc made up for it. 12 Hour drive up and back... up at 4am,back to the room at midnight, rinse and repeat thrice.... was it a great get together? You bet your Spirit Guide it was. Kudos to Joe and his minions for putting things together and keeping things on track. Looking forward to next Year. To those that performed Friday night please PM me about the video. Cheers Frank |

For those that attend, no description is necessary. For those that don't attend, no description can do justice.
You just gotta be there.

Amanda performed as if she had done it in her sleep a hundred times before.
Well done, and of course she had a top notch instructor. SB

IT truly was a fantastic weekend and being my first one, I can safely say that I shall never miss another one!
My only complaint lies in the fact that there was a hiccup with my hotel reservation the first night and I ended up missing Walt's Lecture on Sunday because I was forced in on the ambulance on Sunday. Other than that, it was amazing and I can't wait for next year!

Though I missed my old friends (living and passed) with all my heart, I made a bunch of new friends, and caught up with some magi I had not seen in years.
This was indeed a landmark celebration worthy of 20 years! Craig’s lecture, as always, was fun, wise, and wonderful, how great to meet and spend some time with Carlyle, and to see Ed Solomon work his touching almost tear-jerking magic. Best visit of Dr. Mambo I ever had the pleasure of seeing. And I can’t rave enough about Marc DeSouza’s Workshop and magnificent magic on the evening show. His Dream Catcher is indeed a magician’s creative dream of what magic can be. What a gift to while away the hours with Daniel GreenWolf, Vlad, Evil Dan, Harley, and Scott. How their magic has thrived and bloomed since last we met! Because I’m stubborn and my style is “long ago and far away” I was the only performer to shun the microphone and got tons and tons of flack for that, ah well, when in Rome I guess. And Mary Tomich had just too many wonderful treasures at her booth. I had the kick of attending with good friend David Miller, a newbie virgin to the Gathering, and was able to see the whole event through his fresh and younger eyes, how much fun was that? My Sunday lecture/workshop had fourteen dedicated magic workers and was a great time for all of us I think. In the Dealer’s room I was able to introduce the limited edition of the Wizard (Druid’s) Herb Chest, and the antique Ultimate Floating/Dancing Canes. Oh, and the new Hardcover edition of my book. Last thank you everyone for attending the late night “Have Séance Will Travel” though rocky (no pun intended) as is was my first and probably only time as Celebrant, it got a good reaction. And I really wanted to Honor Brother Shadow and his work since is not able to attend the Gatherings. Some went into it seriously, some observed as curious magicians, some just dozed off, but everyone had the experience they wanted. Magically, Walt ] |

Would any of you fortunate attendees be willing to share a little of Ed Solomon's presentation?

Today, I've heard distinct rumors of the 2012 gathering. Come one, come all! Even Denn Fox!
There were a number of folks who came this year, on my recommendation. All of them had a great time! Told ya so!
