I use the EC in all of my seances. Currently, I have the device in a cardboard box that had Bic pens it it. I am looking to put the device in something else that I can "hide" in plain site. I am thinking that I would like to use some spandex material with a slit for the mechanism to operate but I just wanted to hear some ideas from you. What do you think?

How about a book?

I put mine I to a book as Mr. Taylor suggests.
I've also made a table top for it to go in, so I can move it from one to the other. But I've still to find the best covering for the table to hide what needs to be hidden. Steve |

I think I will try the book option. I hope to hide the spandex in the cover of the book's design.

Jamie,
Check out, "Boulevard 54". This can be found at Elmwood Magic. They have a demo of the effect. This should solve your problem. |

While we are talking about Electronic Crashers, does anyone know of an RC version?

I was wondering about trying to find someone who could alter mine to be RC.

I think that if you turned down the timer to the shortest time and added a remote switch, this would be possible and still allow the unit to operate as it currently does. I would add it as a plug in module. Anyone interested in having this done? My partner at megahitsmagic.com can easily do this for you. If you are interested, I will get a price for you but it will add to the size of your unit.

Hi guys, I have been wanting to find a reason for the upside down glass to be on a book for this effect.
What is the premise of having a glass placed in a way no one would. First, who places a glass upside down? Secone, on a book? Third, on a book that is on a table? I have mine from Bazaar de Magia many years ago. It's in a card box. I still couldn't find a reason for a card box and two glasses. Thanks for your kind help and input. |

Can you do something with the glass prior to putting in on the book? Like have it as part of a story or just a mention or possible other effect and the place it on the book at some point to get it out of the way from your work space??
Secondly I was reading about some people wanting to RC the crasher. There is a great web site for a small RC reciever and Remote very easy to wire up. And it can have up to 12 volts running through. I have never owned a crasher and not sure of the whole design but if the mech that triggers the hammer is electronic it should be easy to hook up.. www.adafruit.com and part # 1392 single button remote and part 1096 reciever both under 15.00 |

That's a great idea! Bring the glass into the story and routine. Thus, giving it a reason to be on/with the book.
Thanks for your thoughts. |

Have two books for a book test, force the one you want, the eliminated one is then psychologically invisible. This is pushed into position for the crasher effect in the act of moving it out of the way. The glass could be used earlier in a glass moving seance demonstration or something similar.
