It proves your statements that "Bullet-proof vehicles are NOT available from Haitian companies in any way: produced, imported or otherwise." and "No more money would enter Haiti from this business than from any other US business." are both false. And who said an outbreak of cholera is a "killing"?
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

You did: "and anyway with regard to this killing;" (see your own post above)
Your pasted information proves nothing - and certainly does not prove my comments false. There is no information in there specific to Blindhasa, or bulletproof vehicles in Haiti. In concept, the approach to business is brilliant...when it works. Which it often does not. Many of these projects do no more for the local economy than other projects who do not make such grand claims. So, what about all the people the UN has killed... |

Quote where I said
"an outbreak of cholera is a "killing"" If you can't it will prove another of your statements is false.

Even though it somewhat pains me. I have to say that Tommy in fact never has in this thread said that an out break of Cholera is a killing. He did say the U.N. killed. But he didn't say how or with what. So no one is going to be able to prove up to this point anyway that Tommy has actually said that the U.N. has killed anyone with Cholera. Yes in posting he article he has alluded to it but he's stopped short of actually saying it.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

When the UN know that this cholerae is circulating in Nepal. When the UN send solders to Haiti from Nepal, without checking them soldiers for cholerae. When the UN soldiers from Nepal set up camp in Haiti and dump their crap in a river there. When the first case of this cholerae arises 140 yards downstream from the camp where the UN soldiers from Nepal set up camp. When 500,000 Haiti people get this cholerae and thousands of them die. We can not say then UN soldiers from Nepal beyond a reasonable doubt caused the cholerae in Haiti which killed people but we can say the UN soldiers from Nepal on the balance of probabilities are the culprits. We can say this is a killing by virtue of the irresponsible acts that caused it, if we please. But we can not reasonable say “an outbreak of cholera is “killing” as it is an outbreak of cholera is just that, that's all and so I never did say it.
As side comment one wonders why there are any U.N. soldiers from Nepal in the first place; The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, Manfred Nowak said in 2007 Nepalese troops have are using "systemic" torture of Maoist rebels and should be barred from serving as peacekeepers. "As long as the military in Nepal tortures, no troops should be consulted for peacekeeping missions," he said. In Haiti there have been killings, torture and rapes committed by UN troops. UN soldiers were caught on camera gang rapping and an 18 year boy in Haiti recently but there is nothing new about that sort of thing with the UN.
