I've bought some of those smaller colored plastic Christmas Tree balls/ornaments, and replaced my eggs with these for my Christmas Shows. It also helps that my egg bag is red.

The mesh egg bag can be sewn in the shape of a Christmas stocking, as shown in The Wizards' Journal #7 (on my site). The stocking shown there is bright red and the mesh conceals the gaffus quite well, but I've since switched to dark green just because it makes a better contrast color for the various ornaments and candies that appear in the bag/stocking.
