Have you ever seen something happen in real life with your own eyes that your thought belonged in a slapstick style comedy movie? Think Charlie Chaplin of maybe the three stooges. Here are a few I have seen.
A girl in a chemistry class sneezed and blew out her Bunsen burner. My college roommate, trying to be suave, did a jump, throwing out his feet to land coolly on his bed. The beds were attached to a bolster which ran the length of them on one side. A friend had left a half full paper cup of wine on the bolster. When he landed on the bed, the cup bounced up and spilled into his face. This was totally NOT planned in any way. his language at the event was appropriately foul. Just yesterday I was arriving at the dollar store. Two elderly women were driving off in in a mini van as I was arriving. When the van turned onto to street, the rear hatch opened and spilled a load of Christmas wrapping paper out the back onto the street. They stopped and fixed the problem, but I must admit I laughed. A very young and short cop walks through a subway car in New York. Really he swaggers though trying to show he is king of the hill. He steps in some liquid that was spilled on the floor (it looked like beer) and slips. He catches himself on a support pole, and hurriedly leaves the car while getting laughed at. Anyone else?

Both are fun if you do it right! |
