Hey I have done a pretty good search but not finding what I need
I have a friend that is not a magician but looking to create a website. my question to you is what are some of the best NO ADS free web templates out there. currently the one he has is ok but there are cells that he can not delete. so on the site the boxes exist but nothing in them as he does not have anything to put in there and can not delete the boxes. if you can offer any advice that would be greatly appreciated. thanks sam

Look into wordpress or CSS templates.
There are a ton of good ones if you do a google search for "open source css templates"

There are a lot of free templates on http://www.all-free-download.com. It would help to know if he already has hosting, a domain name, etc. because there are a lot of factors that will determine what he's capable of. Also, does this person have experience with css and web coding? Or does the template simply not allow them to delete the boxes?
You could also just use wordpress. It certainly makes things easier. I added the wordpress app to my godaddy hosting account and had the software on it in no time. Then everything else was extremely customizable to suit my needs. It helps to know some css and coding, but not completely necessary. |

No he does not have any reall web tech abilities.
this is my older brother and he does have a site up already hosted by yahoo. I am not sure if he just does not know how to remove the boxes or if they are perminate part of the template. I thank you both for the info and will do some research myself and see if I can help him thanks sam

I have godaddy hosting, and while I like that the wordpress application is easy to set up, the emailing system is just awful. Make sure wherever you buy you search google for discount codes.

I don't know about the free ones, but for around $5 a month you can get a nice easy template system and hosting from Homestead (Intuit).

I finally found a site that explained how to adequately forward my godaddy email to gmail. If you decide to go with godaddy just message me and I can explain.
P.S. No matter where you choose, make sure before you buy to google "(company name) discount codes". |
