Can anyone tell me the length and diameter of this tube and does it have rolled ends?

The vernet tube is the same plastic as the TT's, and has a bulge in the middle like a Porper tube. To me they look the same. It doesn't have rolled ends or tape in it.
I don't have one right in front of me so I can't measure it but I have tried it with 18 inch diamond cut silks, but still prefer the Morrissey rolled edge with the tape inside. I have done the color change routine for years. BTW I haven't forgotten about the other tube we discussed, but it is in my RV and I haven't been to the storage unit to find it. I hope that gives you some help. Jef

Wow... I don't know if I've ever seen a Vernet dye tube. I'm not even sure I knew they existed. Maybe I was aware of them at some point and forgot??? Are they readily available?

Thanks Todd. I may want to try one. I like using a Simplex a lot. The bulge sounds like it may hold a little more. I always like to try various items like this. You never know when you're going to find something that works great for you, and has a perfect fit!

I have one that doesn't have the packaging you can have for $6 sent first class if you want to mess around with it. Otherwise they list for $8.95 on Hocus-Pocus web site.

I ordered a Rice simplex dye tube and received it today. While it is nice, it won't hold as much as the Laflin tube. The paint finish is not as smooth and my finger will not fit in to grab the tube or to put the silks in. Just my two cents worth.
