So recently I purchased an expanded shell, however I accidentally ordered one that was struck and not made out of a real halve. I plan on purchasing a real one soon, but as I'm a college student, and funds are low, I want to try and make this one work. I've been told that if I sand the shell's face down a bit, and age it with lemon juice, it will look more realistic. Has anyone here have any experience with aging a shiny struck shell to look more authentic?
Thanks! ~Josh
