Oh I know. I wish more people would stop crediting others so we could get a guaranteed Craig rant each week. (For the record I'm with him - people should always give as much credit as they possibly can. I just love it when he goes off.)

It reminds of something Vernon said about mixing effects and kicker endings, where a four ace routine suddenly becomes a color changing deck routine. The climax of Timeless seems to pop up out of no where. There's no build up. In the versions Ive seen it felt like a magician was saying, "and look what else I can do with this watch!" Who cares |

Really? The hands of a watch vanish and you do not think that the spectator might assume that you are using a special watch? |

Timeless:
1. It is all about the presentation. 2. I am glad so many people do not like it. Sometimes it amazes me, so many people loved Rattled, a trick which survived off of sound, yet the sound of the Rattle of a coin was completely different then the gaff by itself. (I own Rattled) And people defended the sound. Stand-Up monte was released 10 years ago in a pamphlet, and it got bad reviews here on the Café (I bumped the thread), yet it is the greatest thing since sliced bread this year. Yet Timeless, which to me is superior to both of these effects, gets comments like in this thread. I think that the biggest problem is that many people found out the method, and were disappointed. It is so simple it is awesome. And the method is so far away from what anyone would think.

How about a review of all the Haunted deck routines out there.

It was called Kick Back Monte - or KB Monte (which is also obviously a play on Keith's initials). I bet Mr. Thomas doesn't give him any credit though (oh look, we're back to the issue of credits again)!

Thank you for posting it, you've made my night!! I have seen this performed live at the House of Illusion in Salou by a chap called Glenn Bonnar, he used a toilet roll and it was an amazing routine to watch, he performed it brilliantly. I agree this is definitely one for the seasoned performer though, having said that I'd love to give it a go... Fantastic entertainment all round! AA

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
