Hey Guys - Its been a while since I have posted anything. Hope all are kicking some bizarre butt during the holidays.
Question - a friend of my mine recently turned me on to a product on Hank Lees sight. ______________________________________________ The Ghostly Book is a brand new one from Rick Haslett. Take a book from the shelf. Show both sides of the book and place it flat on the table. At your command, fire shoots out of the book! Then, the book eerily opens itself. This is exactly what the Ghostly Book does. Self contained and under your control at all times, by remote control Extremely well made, and perfect for any Séance or Bizarre Magick show! Thanks to Rick Haslett for giving us the exclusive on this fine item! Note: This item may only be sold at retail and cannot be included in any sales event. Note: This item uses real fire, and cannot be sold to anyone under 18. I am sorry if this has already been discussed here - I did a search and found nothing. "in spirit" Sean-Paul |

I like the opening and pages turning, but the flash turns me off to this.
There are much simpler methods to having a book open etc... and a lot less expensive as well. JM2CW Cheers Frank |

Frank,
I agree - I like a spooky book opening but flames shooting out - I don't really get the point. |

There is nothing more spooky than having a book open on its own. By having a flash of fire only underminds the overall feel of the effect.

In The Wizards' Journal #6, item 9, Poltergeist, I reveal my method of having a carving burned into the wood of the Poltergeist box. I have also used the same method to burn in a cover design on an old leather (looking) book in my more serious Wizard presentations. You have a book with a plain cover and as you recite the incantations, a flame appears and apparently carves a pentagram (my design of choice- any design will do) into the cover of the book, leaving it with a black charred deep cut design as you place the book on the table to begin your devious rituals of magick.
