Grady from Sanford and Son has passed away. He was really my only reason for watching the show. He kind of reminds me of Gonzo from The Muppets for some reason. R.I.P Graham Brown |

I can't believe that dude was still alive. I played little league baseball and went to high school with Scott Williams, who had a 12-year NBA career and won three rings with Michael Jordan; his nickname on the HS team was "Grady," thanks to a perceived resemblance to Brown.

"Grady", pictured in the first post, was played by Whitman B. Mayo. He died in 2001 at 70 years old. He was only in his 40s when he played Grady. I agree that he was the best reason to watch "S & S". "Good goobly goo!"
Graham Brown, the actor that just died, played a school principal on "Sanford & Son". |

I loved Whitman as "Grady"! He was my favorite, and to me the most funny character on Sanford & Son.

Great show. Funny character. He'll be up there with Elizabeth, not sure about Fred.
