Hi everyone,

Not having vented for quite a long time now I find myself back on the bicycle again

So after researching the web and comparing everything I could find I settled on The Dummy Shoppe as my preferred puppet supplier. I'm impressed by what I've seen on their site and YouTube and found (very hard to find) a few reviews. I emailed Steve with some inane questions I suppose, but he was fast in responding and with a little tongue in cheek offered some great advice and information.

Tonight I paid my deposit on the full body boy puppet and I'd like to use this thread to share his progress with you all.

I can't wait for him to be here.

Progress 1.

Having sent my deposit Steve has promptly responded by email to acknowledge receipt and ask a few question which will result in a more customised puppet for me. I struggled momentarily about whether he should have an arm rod or not, but then decided against it.

Steve and JET are great to work with while the puppet is being designed. They will actually send you photos of the work-in-progress and will modify the puppet at your suggestion. It is truly a collaborative effort between you and them. Enjoy it!

I know that's pretty cool don't you think?

I don't have any of their puppets because I only use hard figures, although their new headstick puppets have definitely caught my eye.

I have a great puppet from The Dummy Shoppe. They are wonderful to work with and the quality of the puppet is excellent. You'll love your new character. I'm planning on orderiing another puppet from them myself as soon as possible.

You will love it! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience working with Steve and JET! Lily turned out just the way I wanted her to and came with an attitude already built in!!

Today Steve advised me that my new dummy is scheduled for completion on Feb 21st.

It's going to be a long month lol

So far I've found Steve at The Dummy Shoppe to be very helpful. He replies to my emails quickly and offers good advice in the development of my figure (who I am naming Andy).

So Andy is going to be working out at The Dummy Shoppe and will be arriving with a buff body.

Today Steve emailed me the first progress picture of Andy and I thought I'd share with you...



I'm pretty darn happy with the results so far. I've asked for his ears to be pulled back a little more and add some more top lip, but other than that he's looking great.

Having decided Andy's hair was a little too blonde Jet from The Dummy Shoppe fitted him with a darker wig (yet to be cut and styled).

So here's Andy so far with his ears pinned back, lips completed and a new colour wig.

I can see you are going to have the same problem with your guy as I did when Lily arrived at my house - I opened the box and instant attitude oozed all over the place. She started talking immediately!! Andy looks great!! I think Lily would love to meet him! I loved all the pictures Steve and JET sent me while waiting for Lily to be completed!
