I am looking for any books plans etc of the Harbin Levitation. I am not talking about Super x or chair suspension.
I am talking about his Levi. Copperfield, Mark Wilson, and Brett Daniels have used it. Is there any discussion on it in his books thanks? |

The original Harbin book - one is up for auction in the Potter and Potter, Larry Jennings Auction on Saturday.
They go for $1000-$1200 if you can find them!!! The book gives the full details, I'm actually having my welder make one as I post this! Vinny |

Actually if it is that low it may be one of those copies. Most I've seen have been in the $2000.00 range recently. Maybe theyr're coming down with the economy?

It's already stated that you can find it
in the book of Robert Harbin. Are you aware of the fact that this illusion only can be done on a well equipped stage ? |

What does the cover for Harbin's book look like?

It is certainly not a self contained system. It also has some inherent potential dangers I'll be happy to discuss offline. For me, it's wonderful with some very specific provisions.

Hi Ray.
Thanks for offering some quick insight. Didn't realize how involved this illusion was behind the scenes. How about his Anti-Matter levitation? >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sRJXYFzfN0 |

The Anti Matter Levitation is quintessential Harbin. I've always thought this was a great example of something that was incredibly clever but not necessarily good. It is entirely self contained and set up right in front of the audience and he worked out a way to justify every single element no matter how weird it was. A lot of Harbin effects seem to be a puzzle and that's how he appears to have approached them. He had so many wonderful ideas... some funnier than others!

Harbin was a genius. I had a Johnny Gaughan-built chair suspension, then someone made an offer I couldn't refuse and sold it.
