Any of you see this YouTube video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlEdVSVLBqU
The trick is a card fountain out of what is described as an unprepared glass cup - leaving the selected card behind as the only card in the cup. Looks impromptu and pretty neat. Anybody have this? Anybody want to review the trick or comment on its meeting the promise of the demo online (and we ALL know about the honesty and straightforwardness of those!) |

I have it.
The glass is indeed unprepared. All te rest is. don't even dream to do this trick as it is shown. It is imossible to give the glass to someone to hold without that she sees everything. It is possible to do the trick in a pre-set situation with a table cloth to the ground and the spectators at a fair distance. I have never performed it. I use the "things" that come with the tricj for something else. |

Yeah...I kind of figured he was playing the angles on this one.
Still a cool concept that could be fleshed out.

Now having some "secret knowledge" about this trick I want to say that the video on YouTube is VERY deceptive in its use of cutaways. It is so hard to trust video evidence these days.

I used to do this, but I HELD THE GLASS.... Uses a Thornton Windlass (big reel) and Charlie Miller set up as described years ago in Genii.

Can this be put in a box and used as a regular card fountain instead of a glass cup? Anyone know how big this is?
