I'm sure some of you on here know ventriloquist, figure maker, and all around nice guy David Turner. When I visited him in Tennessee last November he was thinking about making a vent figure of Jimmy Durante. Well, he finished it and did his performance last Saturday in an assisted living home. Wow not only did he creat a great figure, but he does a excellent job in handleing the figure as well and spot on voice.

David has not only done a magnificent job on JD, he is also a fine gentleman who we consider a privilege to know.

I thought the figure was terrific. I agree with Chuck that the voice was very good, if perhaps a bit spiced up with a Southern twang.

Thanks for the share. Dave is a wonderful creative fellow, a marvelous vent and I just wish we could see more of his performing at Vent Haven Convention.He is an inspiration to all.

I saw a picture of the Jimmy Durante dummy and I love it... PLUS I Zedong a KILLER impression of the guy. Wish it were mine.

I sent David a copy of a Jimmy Durante cd I had (some of his old radio shows) to help him work on the voice.

David and his wife are such nice people. I had the privilege of visiting him at his home a few years ago. It was cool seeing his collection and his figure-making studio. Such a gentleman and his figures are great!
