I am looking to get a C/S coin in the near future. I was looking at The Magic Warehouse's section on Silver Coin Gaffs, and saw that they sell a '64 Kennedy C/S coin for $25. Then I visited Todd's website and saw that he sells the same type of coin for $45. Todd's coin set is quite a bit more than the Johnson, so I'm trying to decide which one to go with. I've bought an expanded shell set from Todd and have been very impressed, especially when I compared it to inferior shells. I guess I'm wondering if the gaff will be harder to be spot with the C/S coin that Todd sells than with the Johnson coin (as it was with the shell set). If anyone has compared them or can offer advice, please respond!
Thanks, Jason

Jason, I suggest you email Todd about what makes his C/S special. He generally has an answer. Usually, Todd is the guy to go with if you've got special goals in mind. Maybe you want an odd sized coin, or an unusual combination of sides, or you want to dictate how the c/s is designed. Believe it or not, there are many ways to construct a copper/silver coin. In Bobo's, two different ways are described. I'm not sure which way Todd usually makes them , but he'll make them whichever way you prefer, something Johnson may not be able to do.

Hi Jason,
When you drop Todd's Copper/silver coins they ring just like a real coin! You can't tell it from one! I don't know how the other ones sound! If you are going to be combining it with sleight of hand (doing moves with it!) I would go with Todd's! Ok that's my 2 cents! Best David Neighbors The Coinjurer |

Curtis and David - thanks for the responses. I think I will go ahead and e-mail Todd and probably end up getting the coin from him.
Curtis- btw, one of the first effects I'll do with the C/S coin is The Coercive Purse. It reads very well and I'm anxious to try it out in front of an audience. Thanks guys! Jason
