For those of you that perform intimate seance or strange close up in a parlor environment, please share your table set-up or set-design if you will. I looking for that right kind of portable table to use for 4 - 10 people, only coming up with Costco/Sams plastic round type. Any suggestions, because I feel this looks lousy.

Not a brilliant picture, but this shows my set up for a recent seance and paranormal show. Table on the left set up for ESP tests, table on the right is set up for glass moving/ouija.
This picture shows the glass moving table in more detail. If you're thinking about a table for people to sit around, holding hands during the seance, my advice would be not to worry too much. Get them to stand up in a circle and hold hands. Standing up, they're far more likely to sway, wobble, and fall over! The reactions are always stronger when the guests are standing for the actual seance. Obviously prior to the seance it's nice to let them sit down! In the first picture, people were seated at tables watching me during the first half of the show. When it came to the actual seance I got them all to stand up and make a rough circle around the edge of the room. Works a treat.

Thank you.
I like the idea of having those attend stand up. A concern I had was people management during certain times of the gathering. Your idea will help with that too. CHRIS |

The idea of deliberately standing never occurred to me. I thiought of standing as what you do when you can't sit the circle. Great insight, Paul

Yep, it's the Indiana Jones Hat and Whip. Plus some other Jones props, except that they're real objects; not movie propos.

That is nice room indeed!
Voodini did you buy them cards or make did you make them up? |

I'm assuming you mean the aplphabet cards for around the table? They can be bought quite readily. Put alphabet cards into google. They may be sold as flash cards for teaching spelling etc.

Mario,
I use vintage Lexicon cards for my table which have naturally aged with time, Lexicon is an old word game which was a forerunner of scrabble. You can pick them up from Ebay for relatively cheap. Here's a link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1935-LEXICON-C......0wt_1413 Regards, |

Lexicon cards are what I've used. Vintage sets go anywhere from £3 to £15, so not a great expense when alphabet cards sell for up to £10 anyway.
This is one seance kit I sold recently http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t238/......e%20Kit/ And another that I'm probably going to put up for sale at some point with a nice compartmented box. http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t238/......kit%202/ |

Joshua, your second link needs a password to view the pics.
Like the look of the first kit. Is the wine glass used just to hold the pendulum? |

Changed the protection on the second. The wine glass was used with the letter cards for the glass pushing and for a spirit bell.
