As most of you know I bought CaptKirk's "Bobby" figure made by Kem Poyner.
Here in Australia buying a suitable trunk will cost me in access of $700 :O, but I found a company in my city that will build one for me at a much better price. So Bobby is a full size 42" figure and I'd like to construct something similar to the one Dickens & Dave are selling http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rum=80&0 I was hoping someone here could offer some advice with regard to suitable dimension of the case. (Bobby hasn't arrived yet and I'd like it to be ready when he gets here). Thanks |

Although a little different than the type you're wanting to build, the Maher trunks dimensions for a 41" - 44" figure were: 27" x 14" x 9" and I'm assuming those were inside dimensions.
Although you would like to have the case when he gets there, to be certain you don't end up paying for a case you can't use, I really would wait until you got him, so you can lay him down with his legs folded up and actually measure. Especially with a Bobby figure, like a lot of Kem's figures, the head is a bit bigger than something like a classic marshall-esque style figure, which is probably the type of figure the Maher trunks were created for.
