I have a Tango half dollar/English Penny flipper. What size dental band is used for replacements?
I have notied that some flippers come with different sized bands. Is the size of the band a matter of preference or is there a standard size that should be used? Thank you very much. Michael

Usually Mr. Tango includes extra bands for his flippers. The English penny would take a normal band. Contact Tango and I am sure they would be happy to send you some. Also most magic shops sell the generic replacement bands. good luck |

Michael,
The recommended band size for a half-dollar sized flipper is 0.25 inch with 2.5 ounces of force. You can try this site to buy some but they sell them in bulk. http://tinyurl.com/6b85ys You can also use the long, thin balloons that some folks use for balloon animals, #240 or 260. Slice them cross-wise about the thickness of the band remnants you remove from the flipper. Hope this helps. Jim |
