Lord,
Have you seen your friend Tony Blake's "Bloated Lincoln" routine? It's absolutely amazing. Not only do the pennies bend but they incredibly transmogrify while completely in the hands of the spectator! I was shocked the first time he showed it to me. I once saw him do the routine for a group of people at a party. The people were dumbfounded. One woman was so spooked by what he did that she wouldn't go near him the rest of the night. Then there was the spoon bending he did that same night, starting with a spoon bending without him touching it and ending a while later with the spoon in a complete U. The young woman that was the main spectator wouldn't let go of the spoon all evening and even had Tony sign it for her at the end of the night. Uriah

Uriah,
Does Tony Blake has a web site? First time I've heard about him... |

Uriah, I know the idea of Blake and IS FANTASTIC, but IT DOES NOT WORK with any coin! For example, it does not work with EUROS!
PKOIN is different because it works with euros, dollars, yens, etc. You are not restricted to some specific coin, and yes, the signature is done with PERMANENT ink (for real).

I can find information about Tony Blake on http://www.magician73.fsnet.co.uk/The_Magician/series_reviewx.html, but where can I find information about Bloated Lincoln?

Hjelm,
Wrong Tony Blake. The one you reference to was the lead fictional character of the US television series "The Magician" that starred Bill Bixby as Tony Blake (post "My Favorite Martian" and "Courtship Of Eddies Father," pre "The Hulk"). The series only lasted a season and a half and was a typical crime/detective/whodunit episodic show of the 70's. The fictional Tony Blake originally traveled in his own 707 jet and drove a white Corvette with the license plate "Spirit", which he could drive on to the plane and travel with. In the second season the jet was gone, and Tony Blake was living on the top floor of the Magic Castle. The magic for the series was created and supplied by Mark Wilson (a bit of trivia: in the first two shows, which were basically movies of the week before "The Magician" was turned into a series Tony Blake's name was different. What was the original name of the character and why was it changed? Answer at the bottom of this post). The real Tony Blake is a mentalist who lives in California (not to be confused with the other Anthony Blake who is a mentalist living in Spain). Last I spoke with Tony he was continuing to develop his website and testing some unique features he wants to install on it (Tony is considered one of the top copywriting, direct and Internet marketing and business experts in America, with a very popular business website that gets over 5 million visitors a month). As for "Bloated Lincoln," that is a pet effect/routine of Tony's and has only been shared with a select few other mentalists (his "inner circle"). At one point he intended to release it as a manuscript, but those he had shared the workings with convinced him that it's too good and too powerful to release to the general mentalism community just yet. He may eventually release the information (and if he does I suspect that it will be extremely limited and quite expensive), but it won't be anytime soon. Uriah ANSWER: The original name used by the lead character in "The Magician" was Anthony Dorian. Supposedly the name was changed because a mentalist with the same last name felt it would cause confusion with the fictional character so he asked the producers to change it to avoid any potential problems.

I think there is a bent penny routine in Bobo, or maybe its just the method. There are lots of choices as to routines. Maybe check out Banachek for one coin bending angle.

The routine for a coin bend with Xpert is just wonderful. Thanks Neil. I have done it about 30-40 times without arousing suspicion even once, that there was a coin switch (at least as far as I know). It's hard for me to imagine a stronger coin bend than the one with Xpert, given that a marked coin bends in the spectator's hand - and it's easy to do. Without a mark on the coin, the coin bend has the same problem as a card to wallet routine using a non-signed card. The spectator will more likely assume a duplicate or a switch.

I second Greg Arce's expertise on coin bending. I've seen him bend coins for people at the Magic Castle. It's amazing to watch. Even for someone in the know.

Thanks for the thumbs up, Procyonrising. Oh, and I'll put in my vote for Tony's great idea for the pennies. He should keep it to himself because it's that good.
