2011 magic convention SV New user 1 Post |
Dear magic friends,
My name is Walter Rolfo and I'm one of the organizers of the "Masters of Magic" Convention in Saint-Vincent, Italy. This is Italy's largest magic convention: it is always a great success of public and it receives huge media coverage. I have been producing TV shows for the Italian and international market for the past few years, all of them about magic and/or with magicians. 0You can find more information and images of the event on the convention's website: http://www.mastersofmagic.it/and here you can find some info about last edition and about our TV show. http://www.mastersofmagic.it/2010/10/edi......-magico/ TV http://www.mastersofmagic.it/2011/09/mas......ow-2011/ We are organizing a new TV show called "The Next Masters of Magic". These will be four episodes on Canale 5, which is the most important commercial TV channel in Italy. The programme is a talent show with 15 of the best magicians in the world who will compete against each other. The judging panel will be by five recognized Masters of Magic, some of the best magicians in the world. The winner will be awarded one month contract in a variety show in Las Vegas. We would like to have you among the best world's young magicians and we are sure this programme will be a great opportunity for international visability in a programme that will certainly be a milestone in the world of magic on television. If you want to participate, you will need to be available from April 17 to May 6 2012. We will be paying all travel and hotel costs and a per diem for the days you will be with us. In addition, you will be a guest to the Saint-Vincent magical convention, with artists such as René Lavand, Jeff McBride, Juan Tamariz, The Great Tomsoni, Dani DaOrtiz, Asi Wind, Danny Cole, Andrew Mayne, Xavier Mortimer, Dean Gunnarson, Fielding West, Eric Jones, Aurelio Paviato and Mark Mason. To thank you for your participation, you will be able to attend for free a workshop with Jeff McBride and other Master Magicians who are part of the Masters of Magic Academy. For the programme, you will be able to use the skills of our scenographers, carpenters, tailors, musicians, directors, authors to help you to make your performer even more amazing and professional. We will need from every artiste two stage acts and at least two close-up acts. The programme wants to award the best under-25 performers in the world! I'm looking forward to hear from you soon to start together this adventure! Send an e-mail to magictalent@mastersofmagic.it , with a video of you doing some trick! We will contact you! |

This sounds like a great opportunity but I suspect it will be very difficult for anyone in school (high school or college) to miss this much time to attend.

Richard, if they are almost 25 and still in high school, a few weeks off probably won't affect their GPA too much.

Really, a young person with two award winning acts and close-up as well. Sounds like a bit much for a youngster, but I'm sure there is at least one out there with a mentor that has taken the mentor's teachings and applied them. Probably, not in America though.
