Basically I want to know who was spinning PF cups in 1975.

It is possible that era could be Danny Dew.

Yes, Danny was selling them but I want to know what Company did the actual spinning as Mr Dew didn't spin them himself.

Bill Palmer knows. I believe there were at least two different outfits. Danny and his wife, Melba, would polish them. Danny ran a catering business in Phoenix, Arizona.

Anyone know when Rings N Things spun for Danny Dew? Or when Busby starting making cups?

I believe Jeff Busby started running ads for his P.F. cups around 1984-85. I will have to do some digging around to find out for sure.

When were the Paul Fox cups first produced?

Bill Palmer, Or Pete Biro are the ones that I know of that could give a correct answer on that. I know I've seen ads from the 1960's for the P.F. cups that Danny Dew soled. Connie Hayden also produced P.F. sets at one time. I don't know the time period or for how long. I can only say that I think it may have been around the same time that Danny had started making his.

I am terrible at remembering dates. Palmer is the one. Haden's cups were similar, but not real Paul Fox cups. I wish I had kept mine.

Some say Busby's cups were actually the best of the Paul Fox type cups. Agree?

1) Connie Haden NEVER spun Paul Fox cups. He spun knockoffs for Tannen's. They were smaller than the Paul Fox cups. But they were very well made, and are quite desirable.
2) The first Paul Fox cups were produced for Paul Fox roughly 1932. However there were only a half dozen or so sets spun for him. Paul did not spin his own cups. 3) Perigee spun most of the cups that Danny sold. On my web site, I state that Perigee is in Colorado. This is incorrect. Perigee is in Phoenix, Arizona. I need to correct that information. A company called Marshall spun Danny's cups early on. 4) Rings and Things spun s number of sets roughly 1973 or so. These had the Magipoxy coating. I've heard numbers from 53 sets to 153 sets. Mike Brazill might know. If you have a set you purchased from Danny in 1973 - 1976, it is probably one of these sets. 5) I have several Busby sets, I think I have one of each of the sets he had made. Busby did not do his own spinning or CNC work. Some of his sets are very nice. Others are not actually identical in size, that is, they will not accept the same size load balls in each cup in the sets. I would say, based on having a number of Paul Fox cups, that the best I have seen were the ones that were spun for Paul back in the 1930's. The next would be the Rings 'n' Things cups from the 1970's. Then the ones from Jake Zimmerman and Donnie Buckley. The quality of workmanship on all these cups is very close, so it's really difficult to say who made/makes the best of this style of cup. BTW, "best" is a subjective term. As some say, YMMV. Danny used to get a run of cups spun, then he would take all of the individual cups, lay them out on a bed or a table, and start matching sets up.

BTW, whatever became of Busby? Is he still involved with magic?

He has likely dropped out owing to health problems.

Corrections by section number:
3) Marshall probably should read Marathon. 4) Rings 'n' Things may or may not have spun that batch of cups. An email correspondence with Tim Star revealed that he had never heard of (or done) any spinning of Paul Fox cups for Rings 'n' Things. However, other spinners may have done the work. An invoice that was pictured on James Riser's web site shows that Danny purchased 46 sets of cups from Perigee in 1981. Rings 'n' Things shut down in the 1970's. There are many different conflicting stories about what happened. Ultimately, the facts are known only to Mike Brazil and various law enforcement people. There is a possibility that Perigee spun the batch of cups that were coated with Magicpoxy. I don't know. Whatever the facts are, the chucks were at Perigee before that batch was spun, and they were at Perigee after that batch was spun. Occam's razor might imply that the chucks remained at Perigee. Perigee apparently shut down permanently during the pandemic. Their google listing shows them as closed permanently. Quote: On Mar 28, 2012, Bill Palmer wrote:
