Actually his lecture is about coin magic.
He doesn't know that much about penguins.

The lecture was great. For those that are wondering if they should download it later, Mr. Roth started with coins across doing several variations with a s***l, extra coin, and a cocktail coupe glass. He covered Wild Coin using a coffee cup. He discussed palming. He taught Winged Silver and Chink-a-Chink as he did in his Expert Coin Magic DVDs, then taught Hanging Coins, saying the three made a great set. He covered the Retention of Vision Vanish extensively. He taught a routine with his Okito Box set where the coins went in one at a time then ended up in his hand instead of the box. He talked extensively about his Okito set and did a bit of a sales job on it. He answered questions. He finished to fill time by talking about working with Vernon.

IMO, for $20, it was a great lecture and well worth the time and money. There wasn't just tricks, but quite a bit of theory interspersed into his explanations.

Note to Penguin: Would you please cut the thirteen minutes of dead air from the beginning of the download?
Thanks.

Good to see David at the top of his game. He seemed to be really enjoying this.

Say I've seen David live in two different lectures, and have practically all
his work. Is the download still worth the 20 bucks?

Yes it is.
Hard-core Rothophiles will be familiar with the material but David has honed his lecture through years of performance. He offers something for everyone with new subtleties, outs and explanations. His delivery might be too much, too fast for newcomers but they can simply pause or replay to solve that. I think it is one of his better teaching sessions. Very enjoyable.

For me, this was a great value, even though I was already familiar with some (though not all) of the material. He covered a lot of bases, and was very clear and to the point. Highly recommended.
