In the manual, she does includes new spreads to use along with the decks.
I have not completely read through the spreads section, but here are some of the new spreads she introduced: A most excellent and sensible spread: Very similar to a horseshoe spread Panoramic Photograph: A 6 card spread which "resembles" a photograph. Here's a quote from the book: "Use this spread to take a photograph of your situation" The Difference Engine: This could be use as a follow up to the Panoramic Photograph spread. Quote from the book: "This spread creates a magical space for exploring ways in which you can change the outcome forecast in a previous spread" Each spread is taught in detail (not in-depth kind of detail, but detail enough to get started) and there's a short sample reading for the difference engine spread. I would definitely be exploring the new spreads she introduced, no harm trying right? For a reader who started with Rider-Waite, these cards feel instantly comfortable. Highly recommended for Rider-Waite fans and also deck collectors. Do note that the card stock is similar to that of the playing cards. Would prefer a thicker stock like the ones use for normal R-W cards. |

I like this one which came out a few years ago. I think it looks more Steampunky

Received my set and agree with the above assessments.
The artwork is very well done and the imagery is well thought out. Stays close to the RWS symbology, but with its own definite personality. I would like to see this deck on a thicker stock as well, but over all a nice addition to my collection. |

Got mine. Thumbs up from me too. It is good value for $ as well when you take the book into account though many of us may not need it. Still, you pick up anything at all new or different, it's useful. I would not say this is a good starter deck but would be a good 2nd deck for those looking for something mainstream but different.

I did my first reading with this deck on Wednesday. The words flowed like they should and the sitter was very happy indeed with the insight into her problem.

After being asked what other spreads I could do by someone on Saturday night I bought Barbara Moore's book on spreads. I do a number of different already, but wanted some more. It's been a really interesting read so far. It demonstrates spreads you could use, but discusses making your own spreads. Really well written. She's very good at making ideas clear. Looking forward to putting more of this into practise.

My early returns on the Steampunk so far have also been positive.
