Dear all:
Would appreciate your clarification as to: - If one were to purchase an expanded s***l set, would it be sufficient to have just 4 coins insert? - Would it be better to have more coins in the set, eg. 6 coins set, so that, even if the s***l is not required for a parcular routine, for certain routine that requires more than 4 coins, (eg. Slydini coins through table effect - Slydini used 6 morgan silver dollar), there will be sufficient coins for you to use, instead of purposely cutting down the number of coins to 4 coins? May I have your thoughts on the above? Thank you! |

I have a couple 4 coins+x shell, and honestly I would like a 5th one here and there. I'd say if you have a use for it, it's definitely a good idea.

Sorry for double posting, but also, I recently misplaced one of my set of 4, so it was really inconvenient to find another. Now I know to have a couple extras just in case.

There are two main types of S****S. Expanded, which will fit any similar coin and Cutdown with which only the supplied four coins will fit. Cutdowns are far more expensive because of the labor involved but they generally look better. With present technology there is little visual difference between the two. I had a student that recently purchased an Eisenhower expanded and I was impressed with the quality and the detection difficulty. With the expanded you can have as many matching coins as you can afford. I would go with a GOOD quality expanded and save a ton of money...
