Could you possibly take the Flamingo and adapt it to look like the Peacock?

Are you a member of BHQ?
They have three pages of peacock photos and some are very usable. (most are decor based). I hope this helps, best wishes Danny |

I use the flamingo in blue. I take two lime green to make antennas (like on the Caldwell lady bug) and attach those as tail feathers. I use one black 160 to make three antennae on the head for those feathers. Goldenrod for the beak.
Weird is part of the job.

Yeah, I didn't really want to just alter my flamingo, so on the advice of Danny, I found a cute design on Balloon HQ. 7 Balloons and about 5 minutes to make. Quick, Easy, and Cute...and here it is:
Credit goes to Tonya McNeill for this design. If anyone wanted to make this, here were the posted instructions... http://www.balloonhq.com/column/tmcneill/oct11/

Looks great to me - well done.
Not sure about the colours though, but hey for testing out a new peacock it look cool! |

It's cute. I would change the red on top of the head to black, and the red on the tale to green, though. It looks like a weird turkey with the red.

Yeah...I don't like the colors at all...just used what was suggested. I think I may also do a string of pearls outlining the tale in a different color to add a bit of panache' to it.

Mr. Rainbow, Dave Bartlett, had a peacock design on vol. 1 or 2 of the basement tapes. I don't think it's available anymore. It was basically a swan with 3-5 fully inflated looped balloons on the back attached to the back to make the tail. Maybe that brief description will give you a starting point.

I always make this peacock (from Dennis Hogers & Guido Verhoef - Surfive them all - HEARTS), because I love the way how they use hearts to create the tale of the peacock.
This was the first one I have made, so there are a few little mistakes. The limegreen balloons at top of the tale should have a little bubble (like a poodle tale). Click here to view/download attached file. |

Hmm, can't seem to post a picture. I've made it smaller (68 kB) and the extension is jpg.
If you want to see the picture, just send me a private message. |

I make a couple peacocks, but I made this one over the weekend and thought I would post it for you guys. It's great for those parties where you want to go BIG! Soon as you make it, the cameras come out! I usually use a lot more colors for the tail, but these were the party colors.
