Jay Leslie effect. Anybody have any experience with this one? Good or bad?

I bought the trick, but I am disappointed because I don't think it can be used. When the "gimmick" does its thing, there is an unmistakable sound of the drop, roll, and "click." Didn't you have this problem? How did you manage to get rid of the noise? I wrote to the manufacturer a week ago, but I haven't received a reply. I hope you can help -- it looks like a great effect and I've already shelled out the $$. Thanks, Ted!

Yes, that link represents the folks I tried to contact, but no reply came my way. How unfortunate that they don't field questions and concerns about their own product. Hank Lee was kind enough to offer a refund, which is what I think I'll do. I'll return the item to his shop some day this week.

Anyone else use this with success? There is another model called ESP Mental available on MagicWarehouse which is cheaper. Any comments appreciated.
