I just saw Copperfield's "Barclay House" again...

Nice, if a little overkill... Smile

Interesting take on the Spirit Cabinet Routine.

Just realized that there are Illusion that are more "Mentalism-based" in their storyline.

But I can't, for the life of me, name any other...

What other Illusions are used for Mentalism routines?

Copperfield also did the mental gymnastics routine in his Explosive Encounter special.

Aaron Cross has several fantastic mentalism based illusions and stunts.

The various versions of roulettes or bullet catches are often presented as mentalism.

JC Sum recently put out a book specifically on illusions with mentalism plots http://www.lybrary.com/illusionism-p-153061.html

Mike Super did a pretty good mentalism routine paired with an illusion on Phenomenon.

I have one on the go which is fairly neat. It's a tiny little prediction chest which impossibly produces an assistant at the end - also dressed in part of the prediction. It's in the works and should be pretty neat!

JC Sum just wrote a book for mentalist illusions called "Illusionism". JC's work is always fantastic.

I'm not sure about the method but if I'm right this is one of the most intelligent ways to do mentalism with an illusion. It's so clever that there is not even an illusion effect. Fantastic!

Check out last version of VANISH Magazine at http://www.vanishmagazine.com - (it's FREE magazine). Mark Parker combined a great illusion with mentalism that he did for a trade show.

My first reaction was thinking about David Copperfield " Brick Prediction"

Of course my second thought was Don Wayne's Dream Vision.

The old costume trunk illusion has that kind of feel.
