There was a routine by David Roth that I can not for the life of me remember the name of. Basically, you have 2 coins, both are placed in the same hand and then both teleport to the other hand. This routine was done sitting, and he employed the use of an extra coin if that's not giving too much method away. Does anyone know the name of this routine?

I looked on youTube and there seems to be a video of Mr. Roth performing it:

... and if you can hold out more than one coin and want to bug your peer magicians with a repeat to two...
...to all the coins I've dropped here

Is it difficult?

If you have basic coin magic knowledge, not difficult as a pure technique... to make it as convincing like D.R. -> practice, practice, practice is needed

Akira Fujii has a pretty brilliant version of this on his DVD that's much simpler but just as deceptive on his DVD.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, the same thing is described as a utility sequence in Expert Coin Magic under the title of Three-Coin Click Pass.

It might be cool to do that as a followup to this Roth routine, to increase the impossibility. I will have to think about that. Thank you. |
