Just a bit of a thought I had recently: there are various themes used for a magic show, but I don't think I've seen anyone do a superhero theme. The choices are pretty outt here, various super-science based heroes and comics gave us a great number of psychics and legitimate sorcerer-heroes. (Doctor Strange, Doctor Fate, Sargon the Sorcerer, Ibis the Invincible, Tor the Magic Master, Traci 13) and so on.
So, outta curiosity has anyone here tried doing a superhero deal? |

While Jon Armstrong does not adopt a superhero persona per se, the theory behind his magic is very much rooted in the contemporary mythologies of superheroes. If that's of interest to you, a quick Google search on "Jon Armstrong magician as superhero" will provide links to several interesting articles and essays.

Much obliged for the advice, looks pretty interesting so far.
Also, Chezaday looks quite interesting himself. Apparently this isn't as unusual as I'd imagined, haha. |

A friend of mine does childrens shows under the name "Miss Marvel" and dresses as her. Goes down very well too.

Mike Griffin bills himself as "America's Escape Hero."
When I saw him perform in Cincinnati years ago, he used the Superman theme as his opening escape music.
