Can't find a link to the video for the UK currency fold? The above link has 'flash' demos now

I've decided on Chicago Scratch for my first time out with Scratch. I'll see how it goes tomorrow evening at one of my restaurant gigs.

Hi,
Does anyone know another method of forcing the card on the spectator when performing the card effect 'Chicago Scratch other than the Hindu Shuffle force? Thanks TGR

You could use a cull force

I've been working with Chicago Scratch and have been having a lot of fun with it. Two things I thought I'd share here @ the Café. First, I use a cull to force the card. Although, a Hindu force works just fine, I prefer a cull force. Second, I didn't like the idea of using a Sharpie to write the name of the forced card on the back of the card. If this was a real lotto card, not that such a thing exists, it wouldn't be hand written, but rather, printed. So I print the name of the forced card on the "Lotto" card with my printer. In my opinion, it looks a lot cleaner and is easier to read.

I'm loving "stimulus." It's been getting outstanding reactions.

I use my printer to print directly on the back of the card. For best resulty rub the back of the card with a rag which has been dampened with acetone, this takes the sheen off the card and makes the ink dry quicker. CAREFUL acetone is highly flammable
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

George,
Thanks for the tip about acetone. I would imagine acetone would take all the coloring off the back of the card? |

Hi Guys,
Can anyone point me to a performance / demo of Chad doing the 'Chicago Scratch' effect with a playing card? They all seem to be the effect where a bank note is used. Any help appreciated. Thanks Ray

Yeah, I know... Long time since the last comment, but I recently discovered the prop.
I've come up with an idea that I think could be interesting for those with currency different to dollar. Instead of switching between two banknotes of different value, I write the text "x2" under the sticker and make a duplication folding two bills together. Just in case someone find it usefull.
Cheers,
Quique |
