Having this in hardcover is the way to go. Its impressive in size and wonderful looking. Nothing beats the real thing, and since I sold off my old magic last year, I have space for my bizarre stuff. Mr. Shane keep looking up! Your book has given me so much and I thank you.

Pentalogy has got to be my favorite bizarre/storytelling magic book. I have the hard cover and reference it often. So much good and useable material. You can literally open the book at random and find a gem. I use Shane's "ferryman" routine with Vic Nadata's DMH for some spooky 'old west' flavor.
There is a seriously jaw drpping routine where the audience and performer predict the end of the end. Incredible!!!!! |

I just did 2 of the routines right out of the book to see how they played. the results.....
watching the people shake and turn white in fear....but not wanting the magick to stop when I asked if they wanted me to stop was a brilliant moment for me. its a thrill ride of the mind. most of what I have read so far needs very little tweaking to be presentable in my performance style. the presentations have a feel of reality to them. if done right they become real to those that see them. I love this. |

I agree with all the sentiments expressed here already. I own both the Hardcover and the complete pdf series. And here I was thinking that I was sitting on some treasure that others hadn't discovered...dang it.

In Shane's Pentalogy be sure to read his Bermuda Triangle routine. His patter turns a trick into a supernatural mystery, with a bit of an unnerving ending. I don't recall what he uses as the pieces, but I use black pebbles that I carry in an old cloth pouch.
